Outdoor Education Programs
Field trip curricula are designed to correspond with the Pennsylvania Science, Technology & Engineering, Environmental Literacy and Sustainability (STEELS) Standards. Programs can be differentiated according to grade level and classroom goals. Each trip is two hours long and groups are welcome to bring lunch or a snack to enjoy at our picnic tables.
There is a $120 minimum for a single program and a $150 minimum for a double program. No charge for chaperones and teachers.

Life Science
HABITAT DISCOVERY
Students will love exploring the
meadows and forest of Bucks
Audubon, discovering along the way
the many plants and animals that
call them home! Students will learn
what makes a habitat unique to
each animal, and how all living
things are connected.

AMAZING ADAPTATIONS
Students will discover what makes
each living thing unique, and how
they have adapted to suit their
environment and their role in their
ecosystem! Students will explore
and identify local plants and
animals and learn about their
unique adaptations!

NATURE SENSES
From smelling flowers to touching a
turtle to listening for bird calls,
student’s senses will help them to
connect with the world around
them. Students will learn how
different animals experience the
world through the use of their
senses as well!

PREDATOR/PREY
In this action-packed activity,
students become animals in a food
chain, attempting to fill their
survival needs, while avoiding
predators and learning about
animal interactions and
adaptations.

Earth and Space Science
FEATHERED FRIENDS
Students will learn all about birds,
and what makes these animals so
unique. From feathers to beaks to
eggs, students will discover the
interesting similarities and
differences between different types
of birds.

SENSATIONAL SEASONS
Come explore what makes each
season unique. Discover how plants
and animals change and prepare
throughout the year! From flowers
blooming in the spring to leaves
falling in autumn, Honey Hollow is

BIRDS AND CLIMATE CHANGE
Birds are important indicators of
the health of our environment.
Through looking at data collected
by scientists around the world,
impacts that we can see in our area,
and gaining an understanding of
climate change, we will explore how
our local birds are impacted by the
changing climate.

things, especially for those that call
the water home. Students will
explore the stream, marsh and pond
of Bucks Audubon, discovering and
comparing what plants and animals
make each habitat their home!

STEM: THE POND PROJECT
Students will explore the
beautiful pond on the Honey
Hollow property! Discover and
identify what organisms call the
pond home. Create an action
plan for a sustainable habitat
and design solutions through
topographical maps.
