Birds Tell Us!
A Newtown Action Circle
Sunday, September 23
Newtown Township Building, 100 Municipal Drive, Newtown, PA 18940
1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
What’s good for birds is good for people!
Birds alert us to environmental threats, and shifts in their habitats are indicators of how a changing climate is affecting us all. By protecting birds, we can create a healthier planet for the benefit of people too, but we can’t do it alone.
That’s why the Bucks Audubon, Newtown Township’s Environmental Advisory Council, and Audubon Pennsylvania invite you to join us for:
Birds Tell Us!
A Newtown Action Circle
On September 23, we’ll gather at the Newtown Township Building to discuss the impact of climate on birds and other wildlife.
Following short presentations on Audubon’s Climate Initiative, an overview of Newtown’s Bird Town activities, and program updates from Bucks Audubon….we’ll explore our own connections to birds and climate. Then, after some brainstorming and group discussion, we’ll decide as a community on a concrete action we can take to help resolve local climate challenges and protect birds in Newtown.
Snacks and light refreshments will be provided.
All are welcome.
Pre-registration required for this exciting opportunity to share ideas, meet new friends, and take collective action for birds.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
