“We got to climb trees and have adventures!”
“I can’t wait to come explore again!”
-Skylar
We received these comments from a camper who attended summer camp at the Bucks County Audubon Society at Honey Hollow. Here in Solebury we have a multitude of natural riches to share: from the tiny recently rediscovered woodland orchid to the magnificent ash tree that Skylar was so happy to climb; the flowing stream of Honey Hollow creek with its salamanders, frogs and water insects; and of course, our beautiful birds, from the bald eagles flying overhead to the kingfisher frequenting the pond to the small and secretive warblers that add their songs to our spring landscape.
This year we held a scholarship week when campers from the lower parts of Bucks County experienced summer activities in an environment very different from their daily lives.
Without scholarship week, campers like Skylar might not be able to experience all that Bucks County Audubon Society at Honey Hollow has to offer.
Providing educational opportunities for people of all ages about stewardship of the natural world is a critical part of our future, here at Honey Hollow and around the world.
Making your donation today supports environmental education for people of all ages. We rely on our supporters to keep our programs strong and relevant, and to keep our buildings and trails in excellent condition.
