Join the cadre of nest watchers at BCAS to study and report on the performance of our bluebird nest box trail. The ability to commit to monitoring your assigned boxes twice per week during nesting season is required.

Description

NestWatch is a community science project administered by Cornell Lab of Ornithology designed to track the status and trends in the reproductive biology of birds. This training session will instruct participants on how to properly monitor their assigned nest boxes, the Nest Watch Code of Conduct, the nest monitoring protocol, and the use of the NestWatch website and mobile app. The ability to walk reasonable distances over uneven terrain and a commitment to monitoring the assigned boxes twice per week during the nesting season are required to participate. 

 Register by April 1, 2025.

Maximum number of participants is 12.
